Hello Ramil

There are forces on the vessel acting on the end of the vessel or the side of the vessel. The source of these loads could be wind or seismic considerations. For example, the force acting on the end or side of the vessel - considered as acting at the vessel centreline, produces a moment. Let us consider a force acting on the end of the vessel. There is a moment that would be the force times the centreline height. Using simple statics, the reaction to that moment would be sustained by the saddle supports. The saddle reaction produces a vertical force in that saddle.

As an example, to maintain equilibrium the force from the wind or other end load would be: End Force x centreline height. The reaction would be the force (fl) times the pitch between the saddle. We can easily make fl the subject of the equation. The same could be done for the force acting on the side of the vessel, although in this case it is a little more complicated getting the final force oh the saddle.
