Hi,
I'm fighting with a existing power plant where steam turbine pedestal grow 41mm upward in 20 years due to contamination of chloride.
Asme B31.1 doesn't specify requirement (allowable) for the effect of nonrepeated anchor movement.
ASME III NC, ND for settlement give allowable equal to 3Sc calculated in accordance with eq (10a) of NC-3653.2(b).

is it correct take into account settlement in expansion, OPE+settlement-SUS without settlement (L4-L16)?
Or need I to check the settlement as OPE+settl. - OPEwithout settl. and then add SUS, like occasional combination?
About other occasional loads like wind or earthquake, is it correct add the settlement?
Nonrepeated anchor movement are considered in the same way of the cold spring?
I would like to know if there is a way to have output with 3Sc or if I calculate ratio by hand.

B31.1 102.3.2 (B.2): Noncyclic Displacement Stress Ranges. Stress ranges caused by noncyclic movements such as those due to settlement or uplift of pipe-supporting structures or components such as buildings, pipe racks, pipe anchors, or rigid supports will not significantly influence fatigue life. Stress ranges caused by such movements may be calculated using eq. (17), replacing SA with an allowable stress range of 3.0SC and replacing MC with the moment range due to the noncyclic movement. The stress ranges due to noncyclic displacements need not be combined with cyclic stress ranges in accordance with (B.1) above.

thanks for your answer, so if I correctly interpreted the code, with reference with load cases below, I need to create settlement case by L16-L18 (EXP) that means only settlement vector that in my case is D9 and then calculate by hand the stress ratio (I have CII ver. 5.3).

Legend: D1, D2=cyclic thermal displ.; D3= snubber disp.; D9= noncyclic displacements
