We have a problem regarding nozzle alignment of centrifugal air compressor piping. The piping are having both springs and tied bellows in piping getting connected with centrifugal connection nozzles.

Will the springs be kept unlocked and tied bellows' shipping bars removed before nozzle alignment check is done in the presence of compressor vendor's person before commissioning or, the springs will remain locked and bellows with shipping bars during nozzle alignment ?

I vote on the first choice, what our forum members opt?

regards,
sam

Sam,
Bellows shipping bars are not generally removed for nozzle alignment.
I had a similar case in past & we preferred a spring support between bellow and nozzle on the intermediate spool.

Additionally, it would be better to provide this misalignment value to bellow vendor to avoid any hiccups due to site "intelligent" solutions for misalignment.
