In a large organisation,communication mostly follows top-down. But, can't communication be carried out, where open channel is not available!

Here is a story! In a site walk down, we were checking erections of metallic bellows in a process area. We felt that the lapse noticed in generic in nature - worth telling to a wider audience of another large process area who may benefit from this in near future!

We simply misreported the audit finding's source to the target process area, not actually where it was caught.

Next day morning, we accepted the mistake. But, the message now got widespread! Our purpose is served!

In audit, we do not catch thieves! We reduce thefts that would have taken place without our efforts! Sometime such foolish behavior pays!
