Hi,

I read in EJMA that the full thrust load will not be experienced by the nozzle but rather go to the equipment's support. As show figure annex.

In the case of horizontal centrifugal pump can do the same consideration to compare with the allowable loads in the nozzle of the pump? i.e, consider the difference in area between the bellows effective diameter and the pipe ID to determine the thrust load?

This is correct?

Thanks Dave.

Is there any standard or article that justifies this type of application for centrífugal pump?

Regards.
