It is my first time to consider buried lines in an analysis and I just need some clarification and advice.
Why does fluid density of the buried pipe was set automatically to zero upon the buried pipe generation? I mean the reason of having it zero. Do I need to input again the fluid density of the line before the analysis?

We add many point supports to model the soil interaction. But our point supports do not completely address the continuous support provided by the trench. Since our interest is in response to thermal strain, the program removes all weight from "buried pipe"; not just fluid density.
Don't put those densities back in. If you do you will see improper deadweight bending moment in the line and deflection of those soil (spring) supports.

Thank you for the response.

I just want to ask regarding temperature to be considered in the buried pipe.
We consider the solar temperature at 90degC and disregard the Max Design Temp. of 65degC, my question is, if it is feasible to consider 65degC for buried pipe while in the abovegroud is still 90degC considering the solar radiation?
