Dear experts,
I would like to do dynamic analysis in CAESAR II, here few types of dynamic analysis are available in CAESAR II, Like model, earthquake, relief, water hammer, harmonic and time history analysis,
The line size is 12 inch and it is connected with the heat exchangers, the line service is liquid only, here we have control valve (ball valve) for flashing perpose, also we have two gate valves, one is before control valve another one is after control valve, the 12 inch line is getting high vibration this vibration is transferred to structure, it is also vibrating.
Kindly advise me which dynamic analysis is suitable for this kind of problem.
How to retify the above problem,
This line has sufficient pipe supports, I guess there is no issue on support point of view. Total 7 meters pipe length we have 3 nos. Of supports are already available.
And also Here no two phase flow, no pump and no compressor, Here I guess this is purely flow induced vibration only.

Rajiv, having enough support is one thing and having proper support type is different thing. Have you check the guides/stoppers were placed properly?

Dear R.K
Yes guide is available at site but stoper support is not available, it secondary thing... i have to prove it thru dynamic analysis, the controllability of vibration, anyway which analysis is suitable for this flow induced vibrating line in CAESAR II. Kindly advise me.....

As far as I know, you will not get the impact of this by using dynamic caesar-II option. I propose you to check with pulsation analysis. It will be better if you can share some pics of the system in question.
From your above post it seems that the supporting near control valve is not adequate enough. I remember having same problem at one of site of soap plant.

Dear R.K
Here I am not able to attach any file, only text is passable I think so, please share your email I'd so that I can send you our piping configuration.
Kindly advise What about harmonic dynamic analysis is applicable for flow induced vibration.
