I am working on a FRP system which needs to be calculated acc. to UKOOA. The vendor send me SIF and flexibility factors to use in the calc.

When I use UKOOA the SIF and flexibility factors are always calculated acc. to BS 7159, regardless of the settings in the config-file. How to overrule this and type in the vendor vallues ? (maybe this can only be done when I fill in the actual fitting thickness in tje Kaux menu?)

You can define your own SIF values on the "SIF & Tees" auxiliary dialog. I just tested this with the "User FRP SIF" option checked in the configuration.

Hi Jeroen,

My understanding was that if you wanted to define a user allowable SIF at an intersection point, then you have to apply it to the node at all three 'elements' to override the code SIF.

I overruled the SIF in the "SIF & Tee" control (for bends the SIF is overruled at its end node), but in the miscellaneous report the calculated values are displayed.

The FRP vendor told me that this is a 'bug' in Caesar -> the program calculates with the overruled values but displays the calc. values in the misc. report.

This is not a "bug" in the software. We purposely display the computed SIF values.

Aha; I see that the overruled Sif values are mentioned correctly in the input report.
