Dear experts,

I am doing stress analysis for EN 13480 code, carbon steel material.
By default the hot stress “SH1 to SH9 is zero”. Please advise me whether I have to give hot stress or is there any other way to perform analysis on this standard.

Regards,
Venkadesh

Hi,
Which EN material you are selecting for your analysis? Since majority of EN materials are included in Caesar-II, if some materials are not listed such as 1.4432, P265N & so on, you can include them by calculating the allowable stresses as per EN 13480 5.2.2-1 for austenitic & non-austenitic steels.

Regards,
R.K.
