Dear,

Can I make my own database in Caesar II 2014 for
dimensions and weights of valves and flanges?
So a database like Crane.

With kind regards,
Mient

If you are also using CADWorx, you can link to the CADWorx specification which holds the data the designers wish to use.
If you are not using CADWorx, you can update the database on your PC...
The valve/flange database is located under the Program Data folder. Drill down to C:\Program Data\Intergraph CAS\CAESAR II\7.00\LIB_I\"spec" where "spec" is your pressure class. You will see several text files with familiar names such as GAT_F.150 - that's the file holding data for the 150 pound flanged gate valve. You will see columns for length and weight that you can change.
BE SURE TO VERIFY YOUR DATA CHANGES.

I am also trying to do this, except I simply wish to fill in the missing valve information in CADWORX specs. I do not have CADWORX on my computer and so am manually adjusting values.

I ran into a problem regarding WExWE vs RFxRF weights within CAESAR II. It only allows me to input a single weight and it uses the flange sizing and density to determine what a RFxRF weight would be. The problem with this is that the weights calculated are not correct. I base all my default values on Cameron valves.

I tried creating a new end type within valve.HED and added a "WELD" end type along with a new spec "BALL_W" along with updating the class spec, in this case "600". CAESAR II recognizes the new end type and displays it, but I can't get it to link to the LIB_I file I created for it.

I'm hoping someone can help me here. Thanks all!
