Some doubts regarding flange leakage analysis:

1.ASME sec 8 div 1 app2 does not address external piping forces & moments on flanges that need to be included in flange stress check.want to know the basis & where it is used in caesar flange stress calculations?

2.Does Flange flexibility model of caesar results depicts any conclusion/failure/pass etc?

3. If the failure is in bolt seating stress condition---the culprit will be Y (seating stress based on ASME SEC 8 table) value. Can we ask gasket vendor to reduce this Y value & can override code rules?

Need expert views for the same.
