I am doing analysis for FPSO piping and utilizing snubbers to counter the effect of ship acceleration to pump nozzles. However, it is also a requirement that structural deflections due to acceleration be introduced in the calculation. Do snubbers have to be active for these displacements as well?

Client agreed for these snubbers. which Pump you are using.Its crude oil pumps.

Yes, Snubbers have to be considered for structual deflection as well. All the abnormal condition need to be considered for this.
