as we know, we can select material from material drop list through two way: available material names or their CAESAR II material numbers .
but when I want to select ASTM304, how to select?
when I input 304, the selected material is :
(304)API-5L A25, it seem I just select a material which CAESAR II material number is 304, because I lack some material code, I don't know API-5L A25 .

can anybody give a explain about the CAESAR II material numbers' meaning in selecting
material?

thanks

I think this is a easy problrm for many expert in this forum.but I am a new.

The CAESAR II material database does not contain all of the materials you may find listed in the Codes. We incorporated what we felt were the most commonly used materials. This is why the "Material Database Editor" exists, so you can add additional materials to the database if necessary.

As to the "CAESAR II Material Numbers", they are simply the order in which the materials were added to the database.

ASTM304 is not in the CAESAR II Material Database. If this is a material which you anticipate using frequently, I suggest you add it to the database. If this is a "one time only" issue, simply enter the material data on the piping input spreadsheet.
