I have few doubts -

Doubt 1: How CAESAR II algorithm uses mode shapes in calculation of modal mass and modal stiffness matrices?

Doubt 2: Consider a case of seismic analysis using response spectrum method. If the modal accelerations and modal masses are known for each mode, then on simply mutiplying them- will i get the modal forces? Further, using suitable combination method, if i combine the modal forces of all extracted modes, will i get seismic forces due to the effective masses? or will i have to do something else?

kindly help me out in solving these doubts.
