I am running an analysis to ultimately evaluate fatigue life. Material is A790 (S31803) at about 300 F. What fatigue curve should I be using from the ASME Section VIII Division 2 curves preloaded into CAESAR II ?

Regards,

Pat

you can use 5-120.1 fatigue curve from the ASME. I'm pretty sure, the curve not available in the CEASAR, so that you need to key in manually the value.

uhmmm....
where is the justification for using the 5-120.1 curve (high strenght steel bolting fatigue design curve) for an ASTM A790 material (seamless and straight-seam welded ferritic/austenitic steel pipe for general corrosive service)?
