Can any body help me in resolving this issue?

I've Caesar II Ver 5.2 (Build 100122). This has been working fine for all these days. But somehow an error (code 258) has started to pop since yesterday whenever I click piping input icon.

Then after Caesar just hangs & had to be forcefully shut down!!!


Richard/Dave , any help on this?

Go to Diagnostics. Error Review and insert 258.

In your current CAESAR II Configuration, on the Databases pane, check the location of the \System directory. If this has been changed, you'll need to put a copy of CMAT.BIN there.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your \System directory and make sure CMAT.BIN exists.

See if turning off the UAC has any affect on this problem.

But Cmat.bin is already there in the directory where Caesar is installed.

UAC is already off!!!

But still the same error!!

I am currently experiencing this error. I have checked the configuration and do not see any \System directory. I thought this might be where my current job is located, so I checked for the cmat.bin there as well as in the program files CII directory and couldn't find it in either location.

This is where the default installation puts the "System" directory:

C:\ProgramData\Intergraph CAS\CAESAR II\7.00\System

The \System directory MUST exist or the software won't run properly. In addition, users are expected to have full rights (permissions) to this directory.
