When they use pig launchers and receivers for cleaning of a line(above-ground), is there any special analysis done to capture the pig flowing in the line or hitting the elbows?

Are you aware of any standard practice?

I am sure I am going to have to check the wall thicknesses for the pressure used to force the pig.

Hello somnath

Have you checked the SHELL DEPs for design of pigging systems? It should give an idea of parameters used in designing a pigging system.
