For the last two years the CAESAR II team has presented FEATools to the piping community. (FEATools is an application toolkit that provides more accurate Stress Intensification Factors and Flexibilities for the tees in a ping system.) The data justifying the suggested new equations and methodologies incorporated in FEATools was submitted to ASME for review and acceptance. ASME has accepted this work and this information is now available on their website in the document titled "STP-PT-073".

The piping codes state that you can perform a more sophisticated analysis and use more applicable data (with appropriate justification). This document is the justification for implementing FEATools in your piping flexibility analysis workflow.
