dear all,
can someone tell me about output results in ceasar.. there are two things about forces and moments at particular node, i.e. "RESTRAINT SUMMARY" and "GLOBAL ELEMENT FORCES". actually i have seen im my result all values in both cases are same but there are some difference in FX and FZ value. for example at any "+Y restraint", the value of "FY" is same in both cases, but "FX" and "FZ" values are not same. can u please tell me reason behind this. i searched in technical reference guide also. but i m not getting the answer

The Global Force Report gives you the forces and moments acting on the pipe element - essentially the free body diagram.

The Restraint Report gives you the forces and moments acting on the restraint, which may be the combination of the loads from multiple elements.

I think the difference in your results are due to friction, which on a +Y restraint has components in the X and Z-directions.
