I have a Caesar II piping model loaded a big structural model which was modeled using Caesar II structural modeler. I want to see how the structural stiffness affects the piping loads on the pipe racks.

However, I found I could not change the temperatures of structural steels. The solar temperature we consider for our projects are 50 C and the lowest ambient temperature we consider is -43 C. The thermal displacements of structural itself are big.

Is there any way to set the structural steel temperatures?
If we cannot set the steel temperatures, will Caesar II software use piping installation temperature as the steel temperature?

Thanks a lot!

define thermal strain as part of your material definition
