Hi ,

Welcome.
In the HELP menu you can find the "User's Manual".
You will get all the information you need to know about the commands in CAESAR II.

If you "hover" the mouse over the button, you should see a "tool tip" that indicates what the button does.

thanks very much!

from "User's Manual", I can get all information,
before I didn't read ir carefully.

but Mr Richard said if I "hover" the mouse over
the button , I can find a "tool tip",very regretful, after putting the cursor on it ,I just get the button name directive, not get a "tool tip".
can you tell me why,or I made a wrong operation?

thanks.

The "button name directive" is the "tool tip". This is simply a "hint" at what the button does.

For example:
[Zoom Extents] - this means the model will be zoomed (in or out) to fill the extent of the window.

[Zoom Window] - this means you stretch a rubber-band box (creating a window) around the area of the model you're interested in.

The "tool tip" is not going to display the documentation from the manual - there simply isn't a clean way to do that.

Mr Richard :

thanks for you prompt answer.
I still fell confuse, after checking the "User's Manual", I can't find all commamd's explanation, just find a part , so as we know, many software, like AUTOCAD and Microstation , always give a detail command explnantion from User's Manual which is with the software, why CAESARII doesn't provide this explnantion , or I don't find it.
whether I should find them from "technical reference manual" which is with the software.

thanks!

Please see Help->Online Documentation->User's Guide and then look in Chapter 5, 'Piping Input' and see the full description of every button (I hope). laugh Another tip for you: Open your input and look at the menu items. The corresponding toolbar button is shown there, giving you a better indication of what the buttons' functions are. Between that and the manual you should be able to understand what all the buttons do. If not, I suggest you experiment on a practice file with all the buttons. wink
