Hi,everyone
In my opinion, the nature frequencies is irrelevant to damping, but when I enter a snubber(e.g.XSNB) in the Classic Piping Input without activated(by checking the Snubbers Active), the snubber affected the nature frequencies obviously.
Can anybody tell me why?

Regards.

You can activate and deactivate snubbers entered in the general input processor (e.g., XSNB) using the Load Case Options tab. This is intended for static evaluation of occasional loads. Any such snubber will be included in the dynamic analysis. No switch there.

Dear Dave,
Thanks for your reply, Here is another doubt, how is "SNB" affect natural frequency in dynamic analysis, as a Guide rather than damping?

Regards.

In any CAESAR II ananysis, a subber is modeled as a restraint (K not C).
