Currently working with CAESAR II for subsea piping design.

Is it acceptable to model buoyant insulation by setting the insulation density to a negative value?

An alternative would be to apply an upward uniform load, but the negative density is easier for the multiple files I am working with.

Thanks,
Roland

Make a test with a single element model - cantilever. (Sorry, I've never tried this myself.)
