Hi,

In caesar data base, density of super duplex material used in 8027 kg/m3. In all the literature I have seen density mentioned is around 7800 kg/m3.

This density differenrce leads to varied weights when comparing it with output from different softwarwes.

This density difference has been observed only in super duplex material.

Yes, we can manually over write that density. But why it is different in data base?

Can anyone advice on this?

Regards,
Kaustubh

Hi Richard,

Density calculation is based on ASME B 36.10.

Example : 6" Sch XXS pipe - weight given in code is 79.22 kg/m which gives density of 7850 kg/m3
