I have this design where an unconventional valve was supported at its midpoint. The normal way one would want to model this would be to insert a node between the two nodes that specify the valve, and place a support there. CAESAR II does not allow this. I have the intention of splitting the valve into two (with the weight and distances shared equally between the two of them) and placing the support between them. Would that be a true representation of the actual situation?

Regards

Yes. For the degree of accuracy you need the results will be more than adequate.

be carefull that the valve support you refer to is not a transport lug, used to keep the valve secure during transit.

Silly, i knowm but ive seen it done.
