Dear Sirs,

I'm working in a 150 km pipeline API 5LX60 26".

My problem is about the restraints, because the pipeline it is designed over the ground, its not covered or buried. I'm creating nodes every 5 m, so in 1 km I have 200 nodes, it is not a problem, because I modeled with a Data Matrix. My problem is how to insert 30,000 +Y suports.

I'm not modeling in one step 150 km, just 10 km max per model.

Exist some solution to paste the properties in every nodes or insert the node characteristics in one sheet?

Thanks and Best Regards.

No you can't do what you describe above. However, you can model a (very) long piece of pipe as a single element, then use the [Break] option to discretize this element. You can assign an existing restraint configuration to all of the new nodes created.

Hi Richard I do it as well, I meake an aplication to modify the neutral file in Fortran Code, this app get the CII and read it, count the element and ask me how restraints I want, the type of the restriant, the direction, stiffnes, gap, etc. then the app rewrite the neutral file with the restraints matrix and modifying the elements matrix.

its works wery well...

thanks and best regards
