Hello fellow Stressers,

In tank modelling using Caesar II, given the stiffness coeffecients (KR, KC & KL) from API 650. Basically, we input these coeffecients to an anchor to make it a flexible anchor. My question is can we also model it as some sort of nozzle flexibility with the tank diameter and thickness being modelled also? or it will be double dipping to do this kind of modelling?..In my opinion it will still be ok to model the tank then insert flexibility in the nozzle shell junction for it's stiffness just like what we are doing with the vessel but using WRC297...Please correct if I'm wrong...

Many Thanks,

Yes you are correct, you can model the tank as you describe above.
