Hi all,

I'm asking wich is the best way to model the connection between the injection line (green pipe) shown in figure. I created a rigid element (lenght: Diam of blue pipe/2) that start from the header (blue pipe), than I've schematized the reduction from OD 1382 mm to OD 711.2 mm and than the green pipe. (NO SIF ADDED).



My question is:
Is this method correct or there is a better way to model this type of conneciton?

This is correct, but why no SIF?

OK.

In this case I selected SIF for welding connection as for my own drawing.
I think this choice iss correct.
