Is there a FAQ or past thread or answer to the best method to impose displacements on structural model element nodes where there are no pipe nodes?

is it to click displacement radio button on an unrelated pipe element node and then change the displacement node to the structure node

or is it to use cnodes to connect between the structural node and a new node and add displacements to the new node thru the displacement radio button dialogue box?

Thank you.

I'd suggest the CNODE approach - to me it is more obvious and easier to check.
