I am using Aluminum piping throughout my model. To accomplish this, i am using Material: (14) ALUMINUM as 6061-T6 was not an option. However, when I run my error check I am receiving numerous errors of 121E and 253E

121E: Hot allowable 1 on element 10 to 20 is not specified, while the corresponding temperature is. Shx is needed for allowable calculations.

253E: On element 10 to 20 cold allowable is not specified. It is set to 0.0.

What is causing this? How do I resolve these errors?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
-Drew

The first group of materials from Low Carbon Steel to User-Defined are the original generic materials - they are not tied to allowable stress data.

Search for 6061 and you will find your aluminum with basic allowable stress data. Its material index 312 (B241 6061 T6).
