Hi all

I have reinstalled Caesar II,2013 R1 on Windows 8 PCs. The configuration files do not open. Also when CAESAR II is started,the following database errors - "File Valve.HED not found", "EXPJT.HED not found" and "Expansion joint data base will not be accessible" appear.

Kindly advice to resolve the above errors.

The last step in a proper CAESAR II installation is the creation of the default caesar.cfg file. This file is placed in the SYSTEM folder and is the seed file for any CAESAR II startup in any folder that does not have that file present. I have seen several instances where the user (or IT department) somehow "finish" the installation without the creation of this initial cfg file.
From the Main Menu, open configuration and save the settings. This will place a cfg file in your current folder and you should be good to go.
I suggest you generate a cfg file in the SYSTEM folder or copy the one you have here over there.

I tried re-installation. The process goes fully through, but the configuration file doesn't appear to save, while on Windows Vista & Windows 7 there are no issues.
I copied and saved the C2config file in Program data\System folder and tried. Doesn't open. The configuration file doesn't open from inside the CAESAR II menu also.
Please advice.

We had referred this to the ICAS dealer in India. The solution is yet to be provided.

Make sure ".Net 3.5" is enabled, this is a requirement for the Configuration Module.
