Hi,

I am used to working with CII 2011 and have started a project using version 2013. I want to change the units of the Wind Pressure vs Elevation 'User Profile' option from Bar to N/m2. It's not immediately apparant how one would do this.

Furthermore, I have a situation where I filled in my user profile for wind and created four wind cases in 4 directions (-x,x,-z,z). The standard I am using for wind gave the wind pressure in N/m2, so I conveerted it to bar (since I couldn't change the units in the unit file) and filled it in. E.g. 880N/m2 = 0.0088bar at 5000mm.

I noticed that they were all identical to the OPE case, which would suggest the wind has no effect. I suspect that the user profile is not in bar, but in N/m2 anyways, because at a height of 8000mm my pipe should be affected by wind of this magnitude.

Has anyone else come accross this problem?

I looked in the misc info in the output screen and it confirmed my suspicion that it is in fact using N/m2 despite the user profile units being bar.

I believe this was fixed in Sp1 for 2013 version. What build are you using?
