Hi all,

I am trying to model an anchor block around a buried GRE elbow in CAESAR II, using a soil model that can simulate the concrete used for making the anchor.

My questions are:

1)Is it a correct way to model the anchor block (comparing using an ANC support)?

2)Looking at CAESAR suggestions for different soil properties, for the coating factor (F) it suggest 1.0 for concrete but for the other properties there is no information for concrete. I am just wondering if I have to find the missing ones from other references or does it mean that it's not a suitable method for modelling concrete in CAESAR?

I'd appreciate your help and experience.

Assuming that your concrete is massive compared to the GRE pipe, I can't imagine that the pipe would have any effect on the concrete.

I would suggest that the local concrete material properties are not important, just model it as an anchor.
