Can anyone guide us regarding the consideration of wind load for the above ground gas pipeline as per ASME B31.8 which is around 500mm from the ground.

Does ASME B31.8 codes call for considering wind loads whil performing stress analysis, if yes could you please refer the clause if you are aware of this.

how do we input this wind loads in the CAESAR II, does this loads has effect on the cross country pipeline system.

Wind load is a sustained stress. Define the shape factor in the main CAESAR II input then enter load data in Load-case Options.

If you don't have a copy of B31.8, should you be doing this work ? If you do, read it thoroughly.

I have the design code and go through it , i have not find wind load consideration for the onshore pipeline, it is specified for the offshore pipeline. that was the reason i have requested if you have come accross any where in the code.
