Hi to all!
I have a problem with stiffness input for a node. The situation is as follow - I have compressor with suction and discharge nozzle. I have information from the vendor about the allowable stiffness for X, Y, Z, RX, RY and RZ. I think that I'll need 6 fields for every direction to enter the stiffness. But in the restraint input screen for the node I have only 4. What should I do? How to model the situation correctly? I will be very thankful if there is some kind of example on the subject.

Thank you smile

Mr. Crowley,

2 Supports can be entered at next element.

Thank you for the quick response, but could you be more specific. For example - the model starts with the discharge node 10 (anchor for example), after that from 10 to 20 - rigid (flange). From 20 to 30 - pipe element. I can't fully understand what do you mean for "next element".

Specify the stiffness for the first 4 degrees of freedom at node 10 on the 10-20 element. Specify the stiffness for the last 2 degrees of freedom on the next element, 20-30.
