Hello Support,

I am using Codecalc latest build (edition 2013) for WRC 297 analysis of an lifting Trunnion. Below mentioned is data regarding vessel.

vessel OD = 2285 mm
vessel thk = 10 mm

while in output result, codecalc considers vessel thickness as 20 mm.

I have tried another case of vessel thk =08 mm, codecalc in its output shows vessel thk = 18mm.

What is thuis bug? please help.

I have also observed many bugs with CodeCalc 2013. Kindly use CodeCalc 2012 R1.

Actually vessel thk considered by PVelite is correct, since i am providing RF pad and its width is greater than 1.65* (RT)^0.5, Pvelite is considering vessel+RF pad thickness as the nominal thickness for determiniing further ratios.

(Refer paragraph A-5 on page 67 in WRC 297)
