I have a project regarding existing storage Tanks' evaluation according to API 653. The existing tanks are being used for nearly 30 years. My client wants to use the tanks for min. 10 years. I am preparing reports according to the existing situation.

I want to be sure if corrosion allowance to be considered (or taken into account) and if yes what should be the value of C.A.?

Tank product can corrode tank material and the rate of corrosion is X mm/year. Based on plant records, you would be able to identify "X".
Your tank must have "10X" mm as CA available for the next 10 years.
