Is there a way to output displacement vs time from time history analysis?

thank you in advance for your time.

Not at this time. What exactly are you looking for:
- the displacement vs time for a specific node
- or the displacement vs time for all nodes

Actually both would be great. The ability to output displacement vs time data for individual, a group or all nodes would further increase the ability to analyse the response for a time history analysis.

Dear, good night!

I'm starting with dynamic analysis and I'm certain debts of how to enter the data of the "ramp" in the caesar. My data are:

0ms - 0N
11ms - 5300N
11ms - 5300N
22ms - 0N

I'm trying to get with these values caesar, but without success.

Is there any walkthrough for this type of analysis?

Someone could help me.

thank you,
Gomes

1) Are you defining this pulse to be converted to a DLF, or to be used directly as time history loading?

2) What is your input in the "Force Set" tab?

3) Do you really want two entries at 11ms?

Hello Richard,

how can I use the pulse directly as time history loading? It seems to me that converting the pulse to a DLF is the only possibility provided by Caesar.

Post-minute note: I got it. Found answer in the below topic:

your suggested data:
0 0
11 5300
11 5300
22 0
:describes a triangular load history. The repeated "11 5300" is unnecesary and perhaps will generate an error.
That's a terribly quick event, one which will probably show no dynamic amplification as would be associated with the structural response (bending) of a piping system.

Thanks for the explanations.

To be used directly as the load time history.

I'll explain my doubt, have the following information:

Length = 300m
Dp = 4.79 kgf/cm2
Valve closing time = 0.306 s
Speed of sound in the fluid = 1095m / s

How do I mount the table Spctrum date:
Range (milisecounds) x DLF / Ordinate??

Thanks
