Most forums have the abillity to have a 'Sticky'
at the top of the thread (i think this one does as well)

I am begining to think that a few stickys are required ie.

1. Explaination of the purpose of the forum

2. Before posting a new question
(explain search facility)

3. FAQs:
Bellows
trunnions
OPE stress
FEA
etc etc.

Just some ideas.

Your FAQ idea is a good one, I can see a "sticky post" with nothing but topic catagories, each containing links to the most informative posts. Something I can work on during my spare time (which I don't have, but I like the idea).

Suggestions for next update.

I'll start

1.Manual Override of graphic refresh for element
update. (ie update graphic only when instructed)

This ability is actually in the program now.
(Perhaps the default toggle should be off though)
The Environment drop-down menu has the option: "Reset View On Refresh".
If you toggle this off, the plot stops resetting.

If you have both the graphic and the spreadsheet on the same screen,if an element is changed, then the graphic updates.

a pain in the ar5e if your model is of any size.

When (I) buy a new vacuum cleaner, i read the instructions and ensure that i use the device for that which it is intended.
If i want do something new (suck the water out of the toilet for example) i refer to the instructions to see if the unit can do this.
I also check that the surface i am cleaning is ok for cleaning with a vacuum cleaner.

I also ensure that i am fully aware of what a vacuum cleaner is and why i need to use one.

If in doubt, i the refer to a higher authority (the wife) for advice

Which is much the same when i use Caesar II.

Ok,so when I implement the next version of the Engine for this Forum, I'll add a new button:

Jim is correct: the plot does not reset (if you have the option turned off) when a new element is added, but it does re-draw. So if you were zoomed in to a small portion of the model you will see it flash as it re-draws, but the zoom will be retained instead of resetting the entire view to the default. Remember that you can continue to add/edit your input even while the plot is re-drawing.
