I have a project that I have modeled a digester in with about 60+ nozzles. I modeled all the nozzles on the digester using WRC-297. I now have to check the nozzle forces (at the nozzle/vessel interface) against a spreadsheet of nozzle load maximums with forces at the nozzle face.

Would I be better to:
1. Use the local member forces output and find the face of nozzle flange element and its forces

or

2. Calculate the face of nozzle flange via FBD of the nozzle and assume no element loading.

Same subject different issue. We usually have various types of restraints: Nozzles (modeled), Nozzles (Anchored), Nozzles (Displaced), Tie-in Points (usually just anchored), and normal piping supports (shoes, hangers, riser clamps, stanchions, etc.). We often need to handle and report these separately. It would be very useful to:

1. Store the face of flange node number in the modeled nozzle data for easy reporting of face of flange forces.

2. Classify restraints via either a numeric or text field for reporting purposes

You can set the initial nozzle limits in the input. You can also set your nozzle node numbers to a specific range. This would enable you to use the filters at the output level.
