Hello ALL,
I am currently involved in performing seismic analysis for pipeline at crossing location.
The model consists of pipe that is displaced by support height via CNODE. The pipe on supports and on either side of crossing is modelled as +Y supports.
When I run seismic analysis Caesar gives me displacements etc. but for Forces on support nodes gives me only +Y reaction; which is as expected as their are no X & Z restaints.
To get these forces I have introduced X & Z restraints and ceasar does give me corresponding forces.
The real issue is because I have placed restraints at crossing support locations the natural frequencies at these nodes show no movement under animation (although the shock case output does report what mode is governing at that node). Also note it does show more excitation at nodes that are free (not restrained - away from crossing location).

It this to be expected or their is something wrong with my interpretation?

Cheers

Dear smile

Can you attach your C2 files. So we can understand this exactly by model.
