As per B31.3,severe cyclic conditions & expansion stress range reduction factor equation if we are taking care more no of cycles issue,then why there is a requrement to follow EI /MTD guidelines for flow/acoustic induced vibration as our piping is under b31.3 scope of work.

Kindly through some light on this topic.

Try to read more about FIV first. This will help you in understanding. This can be severe in some cases and small bore will fail in short time if not taken care properly in supporting.
