Hi,

Currently I am working on a pipe line(Running between product tanks to customer) for which B31.4 code is applicable. This is a jacketed line.

This is a first time I am working on B31.4 code. I have gone through code and related posts on CAESAR forum. But I am stil not clear on how and what load cases to be made for B31.4 code.

As per the code there is no expansion case like B31.3 but only operating and sustain case. But how we can creat the combined loading case per code requirement is not clear.

As per my understanding following cases shall be prepared. Please correct me if I am wrong.

1. W+P1+T1 - DESIGN TEMP
2. W+P1+T2 - OPERATING TEMP
3. W+P1 - SUSTAIN CASE

But what about the combine case?

Please give me your valuable suggestions/guidance.
