I hope this is the correct forum for a question in pipeline route selection!
Since it's my first design for a 10" pipeline routing, I have understand that elastic bends for change direction are preffered.
Taking into account that I have space, I have connected two straight section of pipeline with elastic bend (my project's specification assumes elastic bends with R=1000D,so for me the elastic bend R=273m).
In that way, the angle between straight parts cause an arc length of the pipeline about 150 m.
Is that OK or it is very big arc for changing direction with elastic bend?? Do I have construction problem in practice, while welding part by part the arc of pipeline and simoultanesly pipeline should layed outside trench with an R=1000D ??
I am speaking only HORIZONTAL. All area is flat.
Thank you!!!
