It is because the Hydrotest pressure have too many digits. Pressure have alocated 8 digits. There is no error. It something like ###### in excel. If you are working with bar instead of kPa pressure you will not have this kind of problems.

If you don't have enough digits in a particular field (for the input echo), you have to edit the associated ".INP" file found over in the \system directory.
In this instance that would be "element.inp". You would want to find the references to the pressures and change "4:4" to something like "6:6".
Make sure you make a copy of the file before you play with it (just in case you mess it up).

You're using one of the alternate formatting files.
Try changing this: :0:6:1:JR:NU PRESURE1 ,
to this: :0:6:4:JR:NU PRESURE1 ,

Be carefull with that filename. CAESAR II looks (only) for "element.inp". The other "element" INP files are there as alternates. The idea is you "copy" the one you want to use over "element.inp".
To recover, copy "element0.inp" back to "element.inp".

Dear Rechard, I followed this advise and have a problem. The output show pressure value clearly but I can not return to Piping Input for new project. When I used the old file to replace new file, I can not run Ceasar II. Please help me to sold this problem. Thanks in advance. Minh Trung.

This doesn't make sense. Editing an "inp" file will change the format for that "one" input echo report. It will not affect the overall operation of the software. You could even delete that "inp" file and everything would be fine - until you wanted that specific input echo report (and then the software would probably crash).
When you say you can't go back to input, what does that mean? Do you get an error message? Could the Input Processor be running minimized in the TaskBar?

Dear Richard, You are right, Input Processor is running in the TaskBar. When I terminate it, everything is ok. Thanks for very much! Minh Trung.

Hi I am using Caesar 5.20 having the same problem, changing the input units to MPa or Barg doesn't seem to change the Word Input List Output P=****.
My question is, I can't find a system folder in my directory, the element.inp file is in the Stoomwzn folder. Also, I can't open the .inp file. If I used notepad to open it and save it becomes a text file.
How do I get rid of this problem as it appears on all my output reports?
Thanks.

You have to have a \system folder, CAESAR II won't run without it. The location of \system depends on which edition of Windows you have?
For XP: "c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\intergraph cas\caesar ii\5.xx\system".
For Vista and 7: "c:\program data\intergraph cas\caesar ii\5.xx\system".
The INP files are text files, you can modify them with NotePad. You are correct, changing the input units won't affect the precision of the INP files - this is why you have to adjust the formats in the INP file.

You can't change the formatting of the "standard reports". However, you can use the "Custom Report Writer" to create your own reports with whatever data and format you desire. I can't lead you through this here in the Forum, you can find this feature fully documented in the CAESAR II Manuals.
