Gents,

Problem in reducing the Tank nozzle loads. It is the Suction line of pump from tank.
Piping design is quite rigid with insuffient flexiblity due to space constraint. Guide me to reduce nozzle loads of tank.Presently i am getting 35000N on FZ.
Guide me anyother way other than changing the routing.?

Use nozzle flexibility

I tried flex nozzle. Loads are reduced much .But moments are showing zero.
What is the concept behind putting flexible nozzle.
Line is going to tie-up with TAnk outlet nozzle by means of anchoring.
In this case how can it be flexible nozzle? Concet is not clear to me.Please brief?

It is anchored but the anchor is flexible (is not entirely rigid).

Use nozzle option, not translational restraints. Moments are not zero.

Have you properly considered settlement, tank bulge and nozzle rotation ?

Perhaps you should consider a double tied bellows at the tank connection ?
