Hi,

After checking a flange leakage with Peq method using Caesar II I obtained a failure results and the client calculation spec is asking for flange stress calculation as per ASME VIII if there is a failure in the Peq results.
My question is:
The flange stress calculation Module in CAESAR II (CAESAR II => Analysis => Flange) is using ASME VIII or it's using another calculation code?

As per ASME Sec-VIII Div-2 (Edi.2010)para no.4.16.2.3

"Calculations shall be performed using dimensions of the flange in the corroded and uncorroded conditions"

With reference to this if i need to perform calculation with corroded flange condition means i have to manually subtract corrosion allowance.

Am i right?
or else any provision is there in flange module that it will sutract corrosion allowance automatically.

I think, as we are following ASME sec-VIII for the flange leakage check.
This above stated statement also taken from same code, so the developer (COADE) need to take initiative to provide one option in flage leakage module.

Option:
Whether corrosion allowance applicable.
If, yes -----> (X) mm.

Then caesar perform flange leakage check accordingly.
