For Caesar program Ambient Temperature = Installation Temperature (or zero expansion). This can create some confusion, because on projects documents, ambient may refer to minimum or maximum ambient temperature, that can be different from installation temperature.
There are two different philosophies.
1. consider minimum ambient as installation temperature (maximum ambient for cryogenic) and you will have the stress range in one go (from installation to T). It is reasonable if Tmin is close to expected Tinst.
2. consider 21 C as installation temperature and assign an operating load case for minimum ambient temperature and check for stress range from Tmin to T instead installation to T. It is to be used when Tmin is far below expected Tinst.
Example: If you have Tmin = -29C.
