Mike,
Welcome to the Caesar II forum.
There’s really no such thing as an inexpensive spring hanger. Certainly some manufacturers are less pricey than others, but in the world of spring supports you get what you pay for. Now, if you’re simply looking for light-duty springs Anvil International make a special low spring-rate series. I can’t give specifics because I’ve never used the light springs and I don’t have my catalog with me, but you’ll find details on the
www.anvilintl.com website. I’m sure most other spring manufacturers also have a similar product.
What I’m interested in, however, is why you need springs for such small piping. Are you certain your problem can’t be solved by a simple change in the design? Keep in mind that springs should never be considered a first-choice solution to a problem. They have many inherent evils (as noted in other posts on this site). Most stress analysts will resort to springs only when the alternatives are economically unsuitable.
