I was running an analysis of three-section large model, and I have got an ERROR MESSAGE saying that "Size error with file>>>..\File_name. Too many:Restrs".

I know that there is a restriction in the node number (limited to 30000), but I was not aware of restrictions on the number of restraints. Model has large number of nodes whih includes bilinear restraints.

I was wondering if one can comment on this, and the limit if it is true. I cannot find anything about this restriction in the user guide.

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

Ibrahim Demir

One of your auxiliary field tabs shows model statistics. Here you will see the allocated limit on components. You can increase the allotment by increasing your RAM in Config.

Dave,

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to increase the allocated memory more than 512MB? At the moment I am running with it and looking for an option to increase the allocated memory, and forwarded this question earlier to Richard, but I have not got the answer yet.

Thanks and kind regards,

Ibrahim Demir

Dave,

My computer has 12 GB RAM and I am able to use only 512 MB for the large model (I have refined the meshed in the earlier model to be able to see the pipe behaviour at elbow area since a stress intensification factor involved at the connections, therefore the model is almost 1.5 times larger than the earlier one).

Therefore I need a quick solution to this other than the splitting the model which might be even more problematic in the discussions with the client.

Thanks and kind regards,

Ibrahim Demir
